Too bad she doesn't live in New York, we're going to have a Special Election to replace Stefanik - thank heavens!

I know, I know…safe red district, but a girl can dream.

You can't get any more red in California than Orange County, where she is from, and she flipped it. I hope she's weighing things like this. Her biggest priority in a big move like that would be her kids.

And the New York District that Stefanik holds.
Both of the Porter Districts had a Democratic edge one was +2D and the other +3 D, the Stefanik seat in NY in a -9 D.
The Stefanik district is 80+ percent white, it is rural and getting older

The Porter districts were very mixed race in urban areas ( LA and Orange County)

Katie Porter would have a very difficult time winning in a district like this. There are democrats who could win, most likely not her though. Any Democrat running in that district would have a difficult fight. Redistricting has changed the district from the Mike McNulty days

wouldn't want that woman representing them in Washington D.C. What kind of person would that be?

And I went to the meetup where he introduced his chosen replacement who I liked a lot, made GOTV calls for him. So Stefanik's win was unexpected and there were protests at her headquarters and she refused to publicize her schedule since protesters followed her around. And after she appeared on national TV alongside Gym Jordan during the second impeachment hearings, billboards went up throughout the district calling for her resignation. She's become a national embarrassment who listens to TFG rather than her constituents so I have hope.
