Trump Backtracks On Campaign Pledge To Bring Down Grocery Prices

but won't be a lot of fun when mass deportations of food workers and a tariff trade war causes food prices to soar.

And I sure feel the same way. I can't believe after everything, the felonies, the sexual assault adjudication, the insurrection, the stolen classified documents, that we're stuck with his lies and criminal behavior yet again.

From The Week, 12/13/24, p.17,

Poll Watch
45% of Americans now have a favorable opinion of the Republican Party,
while 39% have a favorable view of the Democrats and 53% view the party negatively.

Just before the election,

39% had a favorable view of Republicans and 44% viewed Democrats favorably
-The Economist/You Gov

So, as far as favorability:
Before election: 39% Repukes and 44% Democrats
Now: 45% Repukes and 39% Democrats
  a nearly exact reversal

And I saw this yesterday:

Donald Trump's Favorability Rating Is Positive for First Time Ever, Newsweek, 12/13/24

Donald Trump has achieved a net positive personal rating for the first time, according to a polling average produced by RealClearPolling, which has been tracking his approval ratings since July 2015.

The website gave the president-elect a net approval score of plus 1.8 percentage points on December 7, which rose further to plus two for December 11. This was a substantial improvement on this summer, when Trump had a negative RealClearPolling rating of -12.8 on June 25.
...

All these polls took place before the backtracking on grocery prices, but I doubt that's going to make any difference with these idiots.

Or did they just awaken from multi years comas?? I'm guessing that they watch RW news - which does them no favors - or none at all. They're sure in for a rude awakening, if it makes any difference to them, as you said.

From the Newsweek article cited above --
https://www.msn.com/en-us/politics/government/donald-trump-s-favorability-rating-is-positive-for-first-time-ever/ar-AA1vNqY3

Speaking to Newsweek, Mark Shanahan, an American politics expert who teaches at the U.K.'s University of Surrey, said: "Trump's positive favorability rating is likely down to this being the calm before the storm. He is elected but not yet in office, so his rating is based on anticipation, not on the actuality of his performance. ((OK so far -nmmi))

...

"All sides are seeing him act decisively in terms of the energy around his appointments; quite a contrast to the outgoing Biden administration.

I've heard of "bothsidesism". But "allsidesism" is a new one for me

6. Yikes! Do they realize that these "appointments" are not experienced in the fields that they're supposed to take on??

That he has so little government experience and only trusts "loyalists" that they're either friends, relatives or those he's seen on TV??

Justice matters.

from paycheck to paycheck...

They are too stupid to realize that once that job will be gone like it's 1929, they'll have to search through trash dumpsters to eat something...

Idiots getting played with non-stop lies by never-have-enough oligarchs who don't give a f*ck about any of them!
