I just tell them, "I'm not going to tell you." That's because I know who they listen to and who they complain about.

Especially if you can't change their minds. I have that situation with my brother.

She was talking to a friend on the phone and it was nothing but bitching about Kamala Harris. First off, she has no idea what the storm she is talking about. Second, I wasn't there to hear about politics, I was there to watch a sports game. Yet they are the same ones who tell me I shouldn't talk about politics and stuff. Big hypocrites.

6. My Nana was a lifelong Republican, supported "the party of Lincoln" like her father, though my grandfather was a Democrat

She used to say that they "canceled the other's votes out." But later in life she got in with the right crowd, a peace group that she joined on a trip to the USSR - and invited me. That was her turning point - she voted for President Clinton in 1992 and 1996, at ages 92 and 96. There's always hope!
