Pentagon spending 'more than every defense budget of every country combined' - now they want more - MS NOW Reports

The Pentagon is asking for the largest increase in defense spending in the U.S. year-over-year since World War II. Also, Vice President JD Vance's departure for Iran peace talks has been delayed as he attends meetings at the White House. MS NOW Senior National Security Reporter David Rohde and Editor of The Insider Michael Weiss join Chris Jansing with more details. - Aired on 04/21/2026.

We especially do not need a massive defense budget since NATO countries are building their own defense to protect their democracies.

...need. These big expensive weapons system have become a boondoggle for the Military Industrial Establishment.

Huge aircraft carriers have become obsolete. They are sitting ducks in the theater of war. Hyper super sonic missiles, that can not be tracked with current radar systems, can disable an aircraft carrier in a few minutes so it becomes useless.

A $13 billion dollars a pop. We might be better to focus on building our arsenals with hyper sonic unmanned missiles and hyper sonic unmanned drones.

The last aircraft carrier built, the Gerald Ford had massive cost over runs. Had toilets that would not work with 6,000 navy personnel on board. Had high-tech equipment installed that had not been lab/field tested and often broke down. At thirteen billion dollars a pop and more aircraft carriers coming. Maybe we should change course. Stop the monster military procurement with their horrendous costs. Focusing instead on much cheaper super sonic missiles and super sonic drones.

A video explaining the fiasco of the aircraft carrier the Gerald R. Ford...
