Lawrence: RFK Jr. lied to Congress when he denied saying 'every Black kid' should be 're-parented' - The Last Word MS NOW

Last edited Fri Apr 17, 2026, 01:54 AM - Edit history (1)

MS NOW’s Lawrence O’Donnell and Michael Steele discuss RFK Jr. lying during a House hearing when he was confronted with his past comments that ‘every Black kid is now just standard put on Adderall, on SSRIs, benzos, which are known to induce violence, and those kids are going to have a chance to go somewhere and get re-parented.” - Aired on 04/16/2026.

On edit: Here's part #2 of Lawrence from tonight:

I'm grateful to him for speaking out and bringing us the truth in that calm manner that he has...

Though I always hope it's Ali Velshi, he's a great explainer.

He's very good, but he is best on location, talking to people or describing what's going on. He doesn't belong in a studio. Ali Velshi, on the other hand, can manage on his own, he's such an articulate explainer.

And he had two opening segments tonight on completely different subjects, that's why I added the link to this first one.

I think his background employment experience gives him the best insights on how things work -- or don't work -- behind closed doors. It is also why he is so outraged by the purposeful damage that the maga cult is inflicting on the social fabric, including democracy. And he has a powerful way of communicating. (Honestly, I'd love him to be president.)

And he has a lot of self control. I've seen him on a couple of TV shows (the one I remember best was as a judge who was outed for fooling around with a staffer on "Monk" ) though I do recall a couple of instances when he appeared to be emotionally affected or angry, though it was not outwardly obvious. And what's happening now has to be affecting him a lot, this is not the way government is supposed to work!

And, you're right, I'd gladly vote for him for president!
