The US has seized an oil tanker linked to Venezuela after tracking it across the Atlantic, according to a social media post from US European Command.
At some point while being pursued, the crew of the tanker painted a Russian flag on its hull, claiming it was sailing under Russian protection.

Some were saying that the Bella 1/ Marinara being empty was just a rumor -- that picture confirms it.

The article claimed the tanker must have unloaded its oil to another ship.
Either that, or this is just Kabuki Theater between Putin and Krasnov.

Possibly they picked that one to board and seize because they knew it was empty, eg avoids a massive oil spill. "theater" is entirely possible.
Right after the American Revolution, some of the whaling families in Nantucket and P-town split up. The older generation went to Halifax. The younger to the Hudson Valley. The English put a 100% tariff on whale oil coming from the USA and I highly suspect that oil was sent to Halifax and relabeled to avoid the tariff.
