(824 posts)It will be better for them in the long run. Setting up their own security networks, without have to share information with us will be safer for them and the U k. I believe we are about to suffer major scientific brain drain and possibly educators as well and medical. They will want to go where they can work freely without reprisals. Science and education will blossom in Europe with our best and brightest. They will be years ahead of the US in no time. They respect science, art, and academics over there. I wish I was young enough to leave this country.

He's already aliened our closest allies which endangers our national security. No one wants to come here because they could be threatened by ICE - so tourism is dead. Not even our closest neighbors want to visit here now. And you're also right about the "brain drain," he's also threatened universities who conduct valuable research unless they agree to his ultimatums. And his co-president has fired thousands of those whose job it is to conduct medical research, warn us regarding dangerous weather events and monitor our protection systems.
