Rep. Crockett slams 'co-president' Elon Musk: 'This guy is the definition of self-dealing' - The Sunday Show - MSNBC

Rep. Jasmine Crockett of Texas calls out Elon Musk for nearly causing a government shutdown. "Elon is rich because of the federal government, the same federal government that he talks about being so wasteful," Rep. Crockett tells MSNBC's Jonathan Capehart. "We can start by cutting any dollars we're sending to him." - Aired on 12/22/2024.

I worked on the last one in 2009 when Senator Hillary Clinton was appointed Secretary of State by President Obama and Governor Paterson appointed Rep. Kirsten Gillibrand to take her place as senator. I really liked our Democratic nominee, smart and proactive, and it was very cool that he lived only a couple of miles from me so we saw him at campaign headquarters all the time. He won the Special Election, but lost the next one - I worked on that campaign, too.

But times have changed, that was when we were NY-20, aligned with areas south of here. As of 2013 we became part of NY-21 - inherited a moderate Democratic Rep., but when he retired in 2015, that's when we got stuck with Stefanik. Initially there were protests, but she's continued to win and I sure hope that we can elect another Democrat this time.
