After The Great Recession, the government set up the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau an independent bureau to protect the consumer from abuses by financial institutions and companies. Now there is talk from Elon Musk about dismantling it in the upcoming Trump administration.
Rohit Chopra, the director of the CFPB, joins Ali Velshi to explain why the bureau is so important to the American consumer.
