Shock-horror as to why this happened.
Talking heads asking on TV 'why?' and coming up with explanations.
'Thoughts and prayers', even easier. And the platitudes, second amendment BS, the 'price of freedom' BS.

The hard part comes at the funerals. But they never get much News coverage. Grieving parents and other grieving family members, traumatised school kids, traumatised first responders, nope, not worthy of News coverage.

The really difficult part never gets talked about - how to change things so it need never happen again.

So . . . business as usual, for the living anyway, act surprised next time.
It's a repeating cycle.
America at war with itself.
