Buttigieg 2020
Related: About this forumMy first post here.
I think Buttigieg is by far the smartest candidate, and the most well-versed on both domestic and foreign policy. I also like his position on taxes. Not to mention healthcare and global warming.

(20,861 posts)That's because they're not taking the time to read his proposed policies. They're trying to bury him in favor of their preferred candidate.
But you can't stop the wave. Glad you're on board, PatrickforP (the O for Obama can be replaced by P for Pete now).

(12,344 posts)He is deliberately playing up narratives themes rather than policies. This helps him attract attention. He will ride this wave as long as he can, then start rolling out detailed policies, to keep himself fresh.
Do it too soon, and you are a wonk like Warren, do it too late, and you are lightweight like Beto. I'm not saying these characterizations are fair, but that's how the media thinks.

(15,126 posts)Yes, I was touting his intelligence, which is apparent the minute he begins to speak, but yes, strategy. How else can we explain his quick rise but good strategy?
Did you see the national poll that had him trailing only Bernie and Biden? https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/439631-poll-buttigieg-surges-into-contention-with-biden-sanders. That's really something.
