Thank you all for your warm wishes.

There is no sadness in the Jackalope home today. Instead there is a spirit of quiet celebration and joy. We both feel a profound sense of completion.

The journey that we began 45 years ago at a smoke-filled hippie party has wound its idiosyncratic way through friendship and decades of separation, and culminated in a seven-year explosion of unconditional love when we re-united in 2010.

We have done everything that needed doing; we have left no thoughts unspoken. We have forgiven everyone whether they needed it or not; we have told all our loved ones how much we love them. We have said our good-byes, no more words are needed. The look in her eyes tells me that we are truly one soul.

When we look into each other's' eyes for the last time, as the doctor empties his syringe, it will be with full consciousness and the certain knowledge that neither of us is really going anywhere.

Thank you for your message of love and togetherness, it's so hard to find and you are blessed when you do.

I had mentioned my own Fathers passing after 18 months of home hospice, it was a blessing when he passed but it still hurts and he is always in my thoughts.

I lost my second Father, my Uncle Richard in 2008 on July third, his Family, my Aunt and cousins had left for something to eat after I arrived at the hospital, I was one of two in the room when he passed along with my oldest cousin Joe.

Since that day we've lost My Father, my Brother in law Jeff who was my best friend , his wife, my little Sister Nancy, then Joe, then my Uncle Charles.

All before their time, in a six year period.

It will take time but after losing so many so quickly there's one thing I know, you will heal, you will smile again, life will get better and you will still have your memories.

If I can deal with such loss anyone can.

I wish you peace and recovery.

Mark

She lost three close friends and her mother, all within a few months, 15 years ago. She was devastated, but like you, she healed over time.

I'm confident the same will apply to me. thank you for your caring and support.

I was just looking back at your previous posts... she is absolutely beautiful.

I'm glad that the two of you had those precious years together and I hope that your sense of oneness sustains you in the days and months and years to come.
