I just got an LEC light
.https://www.sunlightsupply.com/shop/bycategory/lec-lep-led/sun-system-lec-315-light-emitting-ceramic-fixture
I had to upgrade my exhaust fan a 4" Vortex 150 cfm to a 6" Hyper Fan 315 cfm. This light is a bit hotter than my old setup.
Question...What is the ratio of intake to exhaust? In other words, for max airflow, do I need to go bigger than 6" for a passive intake port?

(52,968 posts)1. At least as much air should enter as can exit, if you want your blower to run at max efficiency
I did some snooping online...you'll need a 10-inch round vent or an 8-inch square vent to allow enough air in.
For this grow I may cut a 9 x 9 square hole and seal an HVAC filter over the opening.
I'm growing autoflowers so a little light during lights off I think is okay.I'll need to confirm that.
I have a hard-sided grow space.
