Sarah Strong Shines in UConn's Commanding Victory Over Iowa State

In a dazzling display of skill and determination, Sarah Strong delivered a career-high performance against the Iowa State Cyclones on Tuesday night, leading the UConn Huskies to a resounding 101-68 victory. The freshman sensation lit up the scoreboard with 29 points, complemented by nine rebounds and four assists, while shooting an impressive 55% from the field. Her remarkable outing included 12 points in the opening half and a staggering 17 points during the third quarter, marking her 11th consecutive game with double-digit scoring and her fourth game surpassing the 20-point mark.

As Strong showcased her talent, fans took to social media in adoration for the 6-foot-2 standout. "What did we do to deserve you? 😭❤️" one supporter exclaimed, encapsulating the sentiment of many. Another fan boldly stated, "Future #1 draft pick! Fun fact: her mom is Allison Feaster," highlighting Strong’s promising lineage.

Echoing the excitement, a passionate fan remarked, "I get so much Maya Moore vibes from her. Best player on a star-studded team as a freshman. 👏🏾" The praise continued to flow in as supporters recognized her potential: "Om*g, it's gonna be scary when she figures out she can't be stopped," and, "Sarah Strong just keeps getting better! 😭 She’s actually insane! I’m so excited to see her development in each game.”

Sarah wasn’t the only star on the court, as fellow Huskies also made headlines. Ashlynn Shade matched her personal best, contributing 27 points with an impressive shooting rate of 10 of 13, including 7 of 10 from beyond the arc. Paige Bueckers also stepped up, adding another 27 points on 10 of 15 shooting. In a historic feat, the trio became the first group in men’s and women’s basketball since 2000 to each score over 25 points on more than 50% shooting from both overall and three-point ranges.
