Caitlin Clark Fans Punching Air After WNBA's Angel Reese Rookie Award Announcement

Angel Reese produced one of the best weeks the WNBA has ever seen from a rookie.

The "Chi Barbie" averaged 16.8 points, 14 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game over the past week. Not to mention that she made WNBA history by becoming the first person to secure 13 consecutive double-doubles in a season.

All of which explains why Reese won the WNBA Eastern Conference Player of the Week Award, becoming the first rookie this season to earn the honor.

And the fervent fanbase of Indiana Fever rookie Caitlin Clark is outraged about this news.

Great play is great play and true fans of the SPORT celebrate great play, period.

magas and Republicons have corrupted social sensibilities with a win at all costs, take no prisoners attitude. This is of course a long running trend, not something recent, but accelerated by modern tech (including colour TV in the 60s). However the political polarization has seeped into other parts of the public sphere or is exacerbating trends there already present.

SPORT fundamentally means play, as in mammalian play which lasts a lifetime. People who get wrapped around an axle over sports have lost the thread, lost the plot, lost some of their humanity.
