I had a post today that was posted just to blow off some steam...

And I’m reading the replies...and I’m tearing up man! You are all absofuckinglutely amazing. I can literally feel the love and concern you are all putting forth...and I’m blessed to be part of this community. I just don’t have the time to respond to each of you, but know how deeply I’m affected by your words. I thank all of you for the concern, the suggestions, the advice, and the looking out for Mrs. Glam. I’m crying over hear, man. And thank you all for the love that has flowed through your posts. I’m forever grateful.

Sincerely,
Glam

close to home. No one's experience is the same as anyone else's, but I have sorta been there done that.

This may not at all apply to your situation, but in mine, encouraging, i.e., scheduling, hydration---water consumption---helped ease the disorientation and "hallucinations" somewhat. Also, research the side effects of any med or supplement Mom is taking. In our case eliminating one gave us another year of lucidity.

Again, this may not apply to your situation but, in ours there was a period or two of attempted violence towards us. This is not that uncommon. There are actually cases of serious injuries or even death caused by a belligerent hallucinating parent.

TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF. They---the real "they", before dementia---would want you to.

I hope something above proves helpful.

Atticus.

I did not see the earlier post, but I also offer my sympathy and positive vibes. I'll throw in a prayer or two as well. Also this...
