been watching the japanese movie Atragon.
the multicraft machine was cool. there is a monster in the show but was rather lame .
there is a scene where the crew enter a power room with all its equipment including mercury arc rectifier tubes flashing and blinking. the story was well done in my view.

Saw that decades ago as a wee lad. A little too strange for my tastes back then. But the flying sub was awesome!
