This is a very big day in Mexico and will continue on into tomorrow.

Interesting displays in many places near the town square.

Nov. 2 is named All Souls Day in the universal Church. At my parish a large book listing all those who have died in past years is displayed throughout the month of November.
The book will open on the page for the last 12 months.
It causes one to reflect once more on those who have left us in the last year.

As you note, today is also a special day and we are going to see the altars and catinas.

I am glad that your church celebrates it. It is a special day.

I.could teach in the language school while taking art courses. The BFA curriculum is effing brutal, though.

If I didn't have other obligations, I'd put the cats into their carriers and be on the road right now.

I just got through phase 1 of my residency process yesterday and did it without a lawyer. While I am horrified about what happened yesterday, I am glad to be here. Hope you can join us someday.
