WASHINGTON The Army has warned its recruiters to treat the gun-toting civilians gathering at centers across the country in the wake of the Chattanooga, Tenn., shooting as a security threat.

If questioned by these alleged concerned citizens, be polite, professional and terminate the conversation immediately and report the incident to local law enforcement , the command advised.

Armed Civilian Guarding Military Recruiting Office Accidentally Discharges Rifle
Christopher A. Reed, a 28-year-old with no military experience, was standing outside the Armed Services Career Center holding an AR-15 rifle when he was approached by a person who asked to see his gun. Reed, who, according to the Columbus Dispatch, is a firearms enthusiast, tried to clear the ammunition from his weapon before showing it off, but in the process managed to fire a round into the pavement.
Reed was charged with a misdemeanor for discharging a firearm in city limits and, along with a small group of armed civilians, ordered to leave the premises. This wasnt his first offense of this kind: In 2013, Reed paid a $50 fine for doing the same thing. His gun was confiscated by police after Thursdays incident, pending his appearance in court.

It reminds me of the preacher and the bear. The bear is mauling the preacher who is praying for help. When nothing happened the preacher added, "And Lord, if ya' cain't hep me, please don't ya' hep that bear . . ."
Leave the military to do what the military does. They know a hell of a lot more about guns and the people trained to use them than any damn open carry gun nut.

Surely, accidentally firing a weapon in public is more dangerous than failing to use your turn signal.

are given a little dose of strict military logic and forced to run back to play solitary Dungeons and Muslims in their darkened, curtains pulled Fox and NRA infested basement suites.
Take a hint, gun nuts.
The Military versus the NRA...that would be good.
