On my laptop. I stayed signed in to DU, but close the window. The last week or so, but not not every time I reopen a window, I get a 'site not secure' message. I'm using Google. Along with the 'site not secure' message, I also see info that the connection is usually secure, and I get a choice to continue to the site or go back. I close the window, wait a few minutes, and try again, usually get on DU with no further messages. It just happened again in the last 1/2 hour. I haven't seen it happen on my phone.
Once again, just an fyi.

(22,813 posts)that have an "http" URL instead of an "https" URL. You can run into it repeatedly if someone has an insecure image in their sig line.
Is it Chrome that is giving you the error, or a third-party extension or app? Also, next time you see it, can you copy down the URL and send it to me? That way I can take a look and see what might be wrong with the page.

(20,356 posts)I always use Google, have a shortcut that I click on to go to DU. I'm not signed in to Google or Chrome. I open DU to the home page. Would my own sig line image be causing the problem? I've had it for several years.
Thanks for the quick response

(1,030 posts)This wasn't my specific problem (garbled code on whole screen when clicking on Democratic Underground in Firefox since last evening) - but I DO have Duck Duck Go in my firefox favorites, so I'll use that browser rather than Edge. Thanks again!
