The problem is related to high traffic. We're still working through some issues to get things back on track, but hopefully we should have some news soon -- I'll have an update for everyone in a little bit.

After that awful event, it's always on our minds around election time.

The problem currently, though, is that this is the first time we've gone through a major election with the new DU4 software. We are experiencing unusually high traffic, but that traffic is also causing some issues with the software that we need to fix. Elad is working hard on it and has made some important changes over the last couple of hours. We are hopeful that performance will improve soon, and that we will be able to lift the sign in restrictions.

That said, we do anticipate that high traffic may continue to cause problems through election day. Even if we were still running the old software, excessively high traffic can always cause problems. However, we are doing everything we can to fix these issues as they come up.

to you and Elad for all you are doing to keep DU operating smoothly. I will not panic now.

Or, perhaps, a server which is in serious need of being restarted.
