Agent Carter faces down evil criminals and Misogynistic supervisors and co-workers. No "super" powers but a woman cut from the same cloth as my Mom. Admittedly Peg has my Mom beat on the strength and reflex side but they were both women who swam against the current of culture.

(162 posts)3. 'Jessica Jones' is an absolutely amazing series. I stumbled on it by accident, but after the
first episode, there was no turning back. The storyline will be quite meaningful to many women, and the character development, acting and script is all first-rate. Kristin Ritter is brilliant as the emotionally damaged heroine.
The suspense builds from episode to episode, until by the end of the series, I was literally shaking with anticipation.
While we're plugging Marvel's series, Daredevil was also first-rate.
