US warns against protracted Israeli campaign in Lebanon, Gaza ceasefire efforts renewed

this is the headline for an article from Reuters updated on 10/24/24. Apparently this is warning and words of deep concern Version 5,497 in the long list of meaningless pronouncements. It becomes increasingly difficult for Netanyahu and the right wing government of Israel to claim they are not trying to empty Northern Gaza while at the same time the IDF has ordered everyone to leave. I guess the assurances the US asked for about not striking the Iranian nuclear sites will carry weight too. Realistically the US is being drawn in deeper and deeper into complicity for much of what has been going on, still is going on, still is expanding and apparently has end in sight. A major strike against Iran will not bring anything but counterattack. But Netanyahu knows this and may well do whatever he can to drag a in military response from the US if possible.

Anyway I'm sure once the shooting and the bombing stops we will all be much more secure.

This late in the game that he hasn't already done? I don't want to even speculate since it would be so fucking horrible.

rather more the lunacy of hearing the same thing over and over to zero effect. It becomes macabre as patients in hospitals are being bombed day in and day out and from the most powerful nation on Earth with the most influence and supply of weapons to the conflict we just get the same words over and over like a slogan. I don't believe, and neither does Netanyahu, that the US is going to take serious action to curtail his actions in any way. He hasn't done it with regard to aid and he won't. Withholding aid is a stated policy as told over and over by Ben-Gvir. We can wag our finger all we want along with the UN etc. but the far right in Israel has been on record for years that they look at these words from others as though they are like the barking of a dog that they know will never bite.

Effort to even reduce aid to Israel as leverage at this point in the campaign . It would be a show stopper of epic proportions. Bibi knows this.
That would be the only topic on every broadcast and social media site and it wouldn't be complementary. One can only hope it's too late in the game for that piece of shit to start a hot war with Iran before the election.

absurdity of the statements being made when everybody around the planet knows the score. If Blinken wants to have meetings go ahead but knock it off with the words about "we're close" or "there's an opportunity" etc. We all know it's obvious BS.
