Israeli military says it is carrying out 'limited' ground operation targeting Hezbollah in Lebanon

That is the headline from an article dated 10/01/24 in the Guardian. They say truth is the first casualty of war. I think irony and integrity have to be riding next. At least this reporting does point out that the supposed "limited" operation was also what was said in 1982 and yet it turned into a many years long occupation of a large area of the country.

Before people start jumping about a "right to defend" etc. you can chill because that is not what I'm posting about. I am posting about the weasel wording of statements coming from people like Blincken, Austin and others around the world. Such as talking about a "diplomatic" resolution. Really? With who? These people in the State Department and Defense have already said the Lebanese government and military is not a part of Hezbollah. They've also said Hezbollah must be destroyed. So who were you going to sit at the table with and have some sort of negotiation? The ones you said had nothing to do with this? It's like saying Wisconsin and Illinois are fighting each other and so we will resolve it by having a peace agreement between Colorado and Wisconsin even though Colorado had nothing to do with any of it. Or just maybe the statements from State and Defense aren't truthful to begin with and maybe are more for domestic consumption because nobody and no country around the world seriously believes these statements about "limited" actions and "diplomatic peace initiatives". Nobody believes it after Rafah.

The point being just stop with the BS pretense anymore. It makes us look like bigger idiots. Just come out and say what is plain to the rest of the world. There will be no "lines in the sand" regarding any conduct by Israel and the US will continue to amplify it's military presence in the entire Middle East/Eastern Mediterranean region and increase our efforts for political influence and control in the countries in the region. Stop with all the BS nonsense about how we are doing this because we care about the average Syrian or Lebanese citizen. Again this is not about whether we should or shouldn't have a particular policy or whether Israel should or shouldn't do this or that. It is about the ridiculousness of continuing to use these BS phrases and statements about "limited" , "diplomatic" this or that when everybody knows it's all horse crap words. Just stop it and say what it really is and we can all go on from there. I'm tired of somebody telling me there is such a thing as only being "a little bit pregnant". Do people not remember hearing this kind of BS all the way through Vietnam? Just tell the f**cking truth for once.
