great story! Occupy 'graduate' and RT journalist Abby Martin exposes NPR hypocrisy

This morning on WNYC's "On the Media", Bob Garfield interviews Abby Martin. (link below). She is the one who denounced Russian actions in Crimea on Russia Today tv.

So Garfield refers to RT as "widely regarded as a propaganda machine to polish Russia's image abroad". Widely regarded by who, Bob? by NPR reporters?

He says to her, "You do after all work for a Kremlin-funded channel".

Abby: "You're working on a network that accepts money from oil companies, and that omits information on the oil spill in the Gulf."

ZAP!

Bob: "Just so you know, there is no self-censorship on this side of the microphone."

Abby: Laughs loudly.

later, Abby: "You guys are doing the same thing, as are all journalists who accept money from questionable sources.
[me- she should have mentioned Koch brothers who I think give money to NPR]
You should really ask:
Why do I have to work for RT in order to tell the truth about the US establishment?"

ZAP!

I'll forward my comment to D-N, altho they probably heard it.

it really makes my day to hear someone so uncompromising, so out-spoken,
and esp. to hear Bob Garfield get zapped. lol

female reporters who are actually INFORMED on the issues.

The Corporate Media has zero credibility.

Abby Martin's show is an opinion show, and if they thought they would use her to slam RT because she stated her opinion on Russia and Crimea, they have not been watching these great reporters who can actually say what they think on RT while they could not do so on the Corporate Media.

I'm sure she knew why they had her on, she's no fool. Good for her for letting them hear a little truth for a change. I doubt they'll have her back, she's no one's puppet.

They covered it truthfully with none of the snide, 'what do they waaaaant' nonsense from the MSM. Their reporters talked to the occupiers, and were there every day. When the MSM took their reporters off the job right before the cops moved in, every time, RT stayed and covered everything.

I love how people slam RT for not being 'credible' yet link to the Corporate Media as if they were credible. Lol, that always makes me laugh.

The classic exchange:
Lou calls new on air reporter, Mary Richards into his office. He says to her, "You've got spunk!" She replies along the lines of a modest downward look, and "Oh, thanks, Mr. Grant." His riposte: "I HATE spunk!"

Ed Asner is a fine actor as well as a political activist. Here's a link to a letter he wrote about the unanswered questions re 9-11.
http://www.911truth.org/ed-asner-actor-and-activist/
Here's an excerpt, written by Asner in April, 2004. It's now 10 years later, and the questions he raises remain unexamined, uninvestigated and unanswered.

To date, no one has been held accountable for the massive defense failures on 9-11, nor for the bizarre suppression of critical warnings prior to 9-11.
Furthermore, we still have no explanation for why the head of Pakistani intelligence, who was meeting with top Bush Administration officials in Washington on
9-11-2001, had wired lead hijacker Mohammed Atta $100,000.00 weeks before 9-11. We still do not know who made the insider stock trades in weeks and days
leading up to 9-11, by betting “against” United and American Airlines stocks (the aircraft used as missiles on 9-11).

What we DO KNOW is that $5 million of those insider stock trade “winnings” apparently by someone who had foreknowledge of the coming attacks, were made the
day before 9-11 at AB Brown Trust. AB Brown Trust was headed until his induction into the CIA by Buzzy Krongard, who is now the Executive Director of the
CIA. We also know that the current head of AB Brown Trust quietly resigned his position on 9-11, with no media scrutiny nor apparently government scrutiny.

Lastly, and perhaps most bizarre is the fact that $2.5 million of those stock “winnings” against these airlines made at AB Brown Trust . . . remain unclaimed.

We deserve to know why no one has been held accountable, and who made those insider stock trades. We also deserve to know why the Bush Administration
allowed members of the Bin Laden family to quietly leave the U.S. after 9-11, with virtually no questioning by the FBI, and at a time when other Americans were
not allowed to fly.
