is it called "Idle No More"? I mean, what does this name signify – is the idea that, until recently, First Nation citizens "idled" while their rights were subverted, and that they're not going to continue to do that any longer now?

IIRC there are prophecies that seven generations into this horror, comes a time of change with a chance for mankind's redemption. That the Rainbow Warriors shall arise, peoples of all colors coming together as one to live in a way which honors the Earth instead of parasitizing her. Or, that destruction continues unabated and the possibility of life for the majority of our people, ends.

This time is now. Strange how it coincides directly with the end of the era depicted by the Mayan Calendar, and the beginning of the new.

However, and I speak of it little outside of such circles, I am very interested in spirituality and mysticism and all of this is quite apropos. The First Nations are taking back their dignity and purpose, which includes the land upon which they dwell (some or all Canandian lands were never ceded) and the right to reject its theft by such entities as the Keystone XL pipeline, and the destruction of underground water reserves via fracking. One tribe is in real danger of losing their water supply. And the greed machine rolls ever onward.
