LOS ANGELES (KTLA) -- An ex-Marine in danger of losing his home is supposed to turn over the keys to his mortgage company on Tuesday, but he's refusing to leave.

Arturo de los Santos is taking a stand against Freddie Mac and JP Morgan Chase, who are preparing to evict him and his family.

"They were helping me on a loan modification and they sold the house," de los Santos told KTLA. "That was wrong."

Supporters from the 'Occupy' movement have pitched tents on the front lawn.

They tell you you can make lower payments, string you along for 10 months or a year while they're "reviewing" your application, then come back and tell you, Oops, your application has been denied and now you're even more behind.

They MIGHT do loan modifications if you don't have any equity built up, but if there's equity, the bank wants that.

The official web site for the Marine Corps is found at http://www.marines.mil/Pages/Default.aspx

Many men have been proud to call themselves and others that they have known in the Corps as ex-Marines.

The phrase ex-marine is one that is commonly used in the military history books.

The denial of the use of that phrase is commonly made by stupid civilian wannabes.

If you want to be a Marine, sign up. Your mother will be proud of you.

No such thing as an ex-Marine. Once a Marine, always a Marine.

...in the last few months. I don't know about other areas. I think it is a very good tactic and the local news covers it in a positive manner!

I think this is a very effective protest tactic. Also, whoever got those "We Are the 99%" signs printed rocks.
