I prefer my solitary company to that of others. I'm not antisocial as much as I've just about had enough of "People" after decades of giving them a chance.

and I can find enough to keep me busy at my place. Just got the 1st shot and waiting to get the 2nd....it will be nice to have a higher level of security, although I will be wearing my masks for the foreseeable future.

But usually I enjoy the company of a few close friends. Large groups exhaust me. So yes, I'm a bit of an introvert.

Has been constant over the years.

Can go for two decades or so and think that my "type" may have morphed with age and various life experiences, then check in only to find it's still INTP.

Refresher on MBT: INTP introverted, intuitive, thinking, perceiving.

not that it makes much of a difference at this point, it just explains a lot.

I always used to describe myself as a shy person. People would fall on the floor laughing. Apparently, my perception of myself and how others saw me were very different thing.

Not a person I have met I cannot have a conversation with. But I isolate. I don’t think I like being around people often. If I say hi to a couple people when I walk my dog I feel like I’ve had my people time. And then I don’t need to be around people the rest of the day. I live alone. I like that. I have pondered if I’m an introvert but I don’t feel like it. But I don’t need people either.

Really interesting answers.

I believe that I was born as an introvert, like my dad was, but for years it was not socially acceptable so between school and my extroverted mother and brother, I had to come out of my shell. Outwardly, I was able to cope my way through school and the life of work. I don't think many people knew that I really treasured my alone time and was worn out from social activity.

Yet I think the change I had to make left me less centered then I should be. At times I get too chatty and I think it is to calm my uneasiness in social situations. I feel very tense and crowds and public speaking horrifies me.

I am finally at the time in my life where I can spend as little time as I want out with others. I can totally relate to the person who said chatting with others while they are out walking their dog is enough social interaction.

A rare MB typecode.

I know that I don't fit in with the rest of the world. But I do my best.
