Bereavement
Related: About this forumPlease forgive my absence. I have been reading every once in a while to catch up
I won't go into boring details but my health has kept me away from social media, DU * FB. I've just not had the energy to participate as effectively as I should.
How are you ALL doing?
Funniest/weird thing happened last night. Comcast my provider sent 127 emails from years ago to my account. Many years. from 2007 till 2015.
A few of them were from ceveritt (Charles) his wife passed away in 2000 and he posted here once in a while. He was very lonely and pained and grieved so hard for her. We communicated by email. He'd tell me about work and what family he had left etc.
Charles died a few years ago, sad lonely and hopefully as some would say, reunited with his adored wife.
I'm writing this because a) it was just odd and
b) most importantly to let you ALL know just how much you mean to me.
I was really moved reading about how missed his wife. He truly just could not see his future without her. A friend of his contacted me on FB to tell me of his death. I have no knowledge what caused his death and I'm OK with that.
Be well my friends.
Please KNOW that my inbox is always open as am I to chat or just listen.
Again, forgive me please for my absence.
kesha.

(35,249 posts)glad to hear from you. i'm sorry you haven't been well--nice to see you posting again.
that *was* strange about those emails.
maybe someone (ceveritt?) just wanted to say hello again, or keep in touch. i remember him.
i'm doing okay. sadness/grief takes a terrible toll. but, as my mom used to say, "i'm still here."

(7,719 posts)Sold my house and bought another. Moving. Ughhhh! This is my first move in 25 years, so needless to say, I have a lot of junk. Old pictures, thousands of photos, couple of extra beds, knick-knacks, appliances, etc. Yeah, need to do a sale, but I just don't have the energy for that, so I reckon I'll donate most of it. Nobody is doing china anymore. Tried to give it away to the grandkids, they declined. Accumulation of "stuff" . Gotta de-stuff!
