was today. I held up fairly well considering until they played Taps. It broke my brother up which broke my usually stoic mother up.
This was my first trip except to doctors and therapy in 9 months because of the stroke.
I never thought I would be going to Dad's service in a wheel chair.

Keep up your therapy. Keep getting out and about. Interacting with other people will help.
My brother had a stroke at fifty-one. He has a numb spot on one leg and part of one forearm. Other than that, he recovered completely.
Mourn, but set a goal to recover physically as much as possible. Our bodies have remarkable recuperative properties.
