(24,356 posts)gripe about the damn nice weather that we've had here in STLMO, not very many hot and humid weather (only a few days of misery), and whoa, the number of downright nice days is unbelievable. I am hoping that we get more such nice weather in the future, as we usually get hot and humid weather in all of the river valleys we have here in STLMO (the mississippi, the missouri, and the meramec rivers). I'm not going to blame climate change for this, but we have had some pretty hard droughts here in MO so it may be sucking up the humidity so is unable to make it to the STLMO region. Hopefully, we also won't have too many grass / forest fires, as we haven't really seen too much rain (we did in the beginning of the year, but none afterwards).
I do enjoy the fall weather, the changing trees, and the harvests coming in. A annual rite, that I look forward to seeing, the pumpkins, the harvest, the corn (in Illinois across the river)...there is a nice route along the river (highway 3 in IL, along the Mississippi) that is just beautiful to drive along, and see the sights, plus there are a few places to stop, grab a bite to eat (Edwardsville, Alton, etc.), for those of you interested.
Be well.

(93,560 posts)Only in the 70-80s during the day. Cooler nights make it easier to see more stars.

(4,639 posts)I haven't seen my few hummers in the last cooler days/nights; perhaps they've started their migration to warmer climes.
Sad that it also means the end of growth for the garden tomatoes and peppers and annual herbs.
