I understand not explaining things that most DUers would know.
It is pertinent to your story, and I' guessing less than 5% of DUers would know it.

But rather than respond to the subject of the article, which I didn't write, you made the post you did. Not a comment about the anti-Semitism, but rather a comment about using abbreviations.

why play cute with language that would/will confuse a large portion of readers? One would think that greater comprehension (and thus impact?) - would sort of be a goal?

Isn't it interesting an article about anti-Semitism in the JEWISH group is not discussed, but rather the OP is lectured for an article he didn't write?

I found two possible definitions:
1. A student enrolled in one of the five Claremont colleges (Claremont McKenna, Harvey Mudd, Pitzer, Pomona, or Scripps).
2. Can also refer to the California Community Colleges Curriculum Committee, which plays an essential role in dialoguing about and supporting curricular change in the California Community Colleges system.

I assume the first definition is meant.
