In a supposedly progressive city, words are violence but an actual massacre is justified

“How is raping girls freedom fighting?” I asked. What I thought was a simple question turned into multiple people, including the coach, continuing to justify the rape of Israeli girls. It seemed that they were astonished that I would even try to say that the rape of these innocent girls is wrong.

not only failed to condemn what happened on October 7, but justified it by blaming the victims, and it was done it not so subtle ways, by questioning the authenticity of the rapes, tortures, and killings that occurred on that terrible day, along with the venom hate, and cheers spewed by some professors at very prestigious Universities, instead of actual condemnation of what happened.

. . . especially to see some on the progressive left side with Hamas and Hezbollah. I worry about how this is affecting and might affect the coming election. I know many Jewish friends and family that are on the edge of bailing on our party.

I’ve been astonished at the gulf of knowledge — I grew up in Saudi Arabia, so I’m well aware of both sides.

I was forced to watch my first beheading at eight. I watched a friend be seized by mullahs for laughing in public — his head was brutally shaved with a knife.

The students at the university were friendly enough — but the culture was utterly cruel. I’ve heard it presented as congenial, but it was not.

My father was an anti-Semite and unconcerned — but I was horrified by parts of the experience. I’m not excusing Israel’s actions, but the lack of understanding by ignorant Americans is startling.

These people should spend a few months there.

As I was told at 14 when six good people were beating me up for being Jewish, "he should have done the world a favor and thrown himself into the oven."
