Did you see fewer people get ashes today?
I live in NYC and used to see a lot of people with ashes on Ash Wednesday. All day I ran into only person who had ashes.
Did you notice whether you saw fewer people get ashes today?

Chris Cuomo had a large one also; saw several more on TV hosts as well...

One of the morning reporting segments on MSNBC was (male reporter/analyst but not sure)...? Usually, I see just the smudge, but he had what looked to be a 3-inch ashen cross on his forehead.
Ash Wednesday always confuses the unaware, but I suspect that earned them quite a few questions from viewers.

Thought there was something wrong with his makeup and then it dawned on me -- Ash Wednesday.

I went to a noon service and was astonished at how crowded it was.
