Despite Trumps Racist Rally, Some Christians Are Just Upset He Said GoddamnWest Virginia State Sen. Paul Hardesty, a self-described conservative Democrat and 2016 Trump supporter, sent a letter to Trump calling him out on the language:
I am, however, appalled by the fact that you chose to use the Lords name in vain on two separate occasions, when you went off the prompter during your speech. There is NO place in society anywhere, anyplace and at anytime where that type of language should be used or handled. Your comments were not presidential. I know in my heart that you are better than that.

Just to be clear this orange wanker is ALL of this:
Caging children is okay
Raping teenagers is okay
Enshrining white supremacy is okay
Threatening the world is okay
Calling countries shit hole countries is okay
Grab them by the pussy is okay
Telling BAME democrats to go back to where they came from is okay
Calling Mexicans rapists is okay
And Trump using the word Goddamn is the problem?

I want doers, not criers in Congress.

(62,527 posts)haven't shown much outrage up to this point, and I get no sense than any one of them held their nose voting for him. It isn't as if he's any different in his comportment now as opposed to pre 2016.

(6,448 posts)The whole thing was a lie. One of the Commandments is about "bearing false witness". He's also a serial adulterer who doesn't honor the Sabbath. Each captive child or adult who dies is second-degree murder. This is on top of the list mentioned above.
He is also destroying our God-made natural resources. "If something man-made is destroyed, it's done by vandals. If something made by God is destroyed, it's done by developers."
All of this is overlooked, as long as he criminalizes abortion. If Miami, NYC, and New Orleans are destroyed by flooding, the people who die won't need abortions. The flooding won't come overnight, but places who are warned a week in advance of hurricanes can't evacuate in time for all to be saved. Why should this be any different?
Others will die because of wildfires and more extreme tornadoes in many of the states he carried. The overall carnage numbers will be on him. This could all have been avoided. I also blame the evil Koch brothers and the rest of that terrible industry. And there's the challenging of the ACA with Mitch McConnell/John Boehner/Paul Ryan anti-American threesome at work. They have blood on their hands too. These are horrible times with deplorable people in charge.

(49,533 posts)Calling them fake implies that real Christians can't ever be wrong. That's an unhealthy way to approach religion, and it leads to exactly the kind of rigid fundamentalism you're upset about.
