I pulled that line from the end of the article. Here's what it's about:
Christian activist willing to go to jail on LGBT hate crime charge: Im standing for Jesus
My alleged crime is preaching the Gospel and sharing accurate information on the dangers of homosexuality at the Toronto homosexual Pride Parade in 2016, Whatcott said in a live Facebook post before his court appearance.
Im very prepared to pay the price. Im certainly prepared to go to jail, he added.

(7,558 posts)It would seem that the prosecution would be able to use that. Make the defendant show where Jesus said anything about it.

(15,202 posts)For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. (NIV)
"The Law" includes the parts that prohibit various sexual acts, and describe what should be done to the people who commit them.

(12,858 posts)IIRC there is a passage, in Ezekiel I believe, that clearly states that God condemned Sodom for its treatment of poor and strangers in the land. Absolutely nothing to do with the male inhabitants demanding the angels be sent out to them.
Interesting that the preachers who constantly call on that passage about the men demanding Angel's never go on to the next part in which the host sends out his 2 virgin daughters to 'be used as the men wish'! The preachers' silence sends clear message that homosexual activity is much, much worse than rape! Again the conservative 'christian' message that'god' created women to be subordinate to women,
