(148,161 posts)There are many things I don't understand well. If I want to understand them, I do some research and arm myself with information from trusted sources. I don't use faith. That's just a way of putting understanding off or dismissing the unknown thing.
Maybe you could give me an example of something that looks like an "abyss of ignarance." I can't think of anything like that.

However...
What happens when faith encounters a threat that it cannot ignore and explain away?
What happens to faith when reality demands its due?
