COYWOLVES! Caught the tail end of Nature on PBS and wolves have been mating...

with coyotes. Fascinating. It'll be on again tomorrow night, and I'm recording it.

They seem to happily coexist with us, even in cities (some have been seen in NYC) so it will be interesting to see how things go.

When I lived in NJ, we had coyotes all over the place. Would've been nice if they dealt with the deer population, but they do seem to like geese a lot. I remember one night when a pack of coyotes lost their bearings on I-78 and we sat in a traffic jam watching them wander around.

Fascinating animals, they have little problem living in big cities with parks and ravines and suchlike.

The animals are quite beautiful too. I don't recall exactly which characteristics they get from which animal, but they are distinctive and gorgeous.

I hope they thrive!

that the coyotes do quite well.

Not sure it's a good thing with the cross breeding.
