It kind of goes like this:

You realize you need to adjust your velocity downward so you will need roughly five miles to slow down enough to think about stopping, 80Klbs takes some effort to remove it from the realm of motion. Take foot off pedal which triggers the Jake brake so you can find the next lower gear and back that down - ride the Jake until you can downshift again - until your are traveling at less than 80mph, then you can start using the wheel brakes and you continue with the process described above hastening the shifting by using the wheel brakes. At some point, you can wrangle the beast to a stop without burning it to the ground in the process.

On Saturday, the mad Swedes at Koenigsegg did something truly remarkable: in an Agera RS, a factory driver achieved an average speed of 277.9 mph during two runs on Nevada’s Route 160 between Las Vegas and Pahrump. This may make the Agera RS the world’s fastest street legal production car. Now you can see what those runs looked like from the driver’s perspective.
