What games is everyone anticipating?
For me...
Bioshock
Dragon Age 3
Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 3
Crysis 3
Metro 2033: The Last Light
Metal Gear Solid Rising (and any other MGS game)
The new Xbox and PlayStation
Final Fantasy 13 Versus (Assuming it's not canceled)

Broken_Hero
(59,305 posts)God of War Ascension and DC's Injustice: Gods Among Us, and of course when they release the DLC of Skyrim for the PS3...
Broken_Hero
(59,305 posts)The collectors edition of Injustice Gods Amongst Us, the set looks amazing...but I'm a HUGH DC homer,
dogknob
(2,431 posts)...at least Dragonborn for PC is.
Broken_Hero
(59,305 posts)but I haven't seen any discussion about it in the GameInformer. I didn't even know there was a Dragonborn DLC til about two weeks ago, all I knew about was Dawnguard.
Evoman
(8,040 posts)Bioshock Infinite
Sly Cooper (for the ps3 and Vita)
ANY games for the Vita, especially killzone (I need a good fps for Vita, goddamit)
God of War Ascension
Deadspace 3 (though I'm afraid they may have changed the premise too much away from survival horror)

(26,355 posts)Right now, I'm playing through Amnesia: Dark Descent. Isn't it fun watching bugs crawling everywhere, seeing your screen warping like a funhouse mirror, and hear your character grinding his teeth and talking to himself as he becomes more and more batshit fumbling around in the dark trying not to get eaten?
ZombieHorde
(29,047 posts)I'm not very far into it, but I'm really enjoying it. I need to get into the wine cellar, so I'm really close to the beginning. I just wanted to check it out. I think I'll play more tonight.
My favorite horror series is Fatal Frame for the PS2. Fatal Frame 2: Crimson Butterfly is especially fun.

(78 posts)After the suckfest of BW that was partly mitigated by the B2W2 games, X/Y looks like a much needed improvement.

(29,047 posts)For the PS3:
The Last of US
Dead Island: Riptide
I am curious about Dead Space 3, but I still have to play the second one.
For the PC:
Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs
End of Nations looks promising.
I am curious about Chaos Chronicles, but I don't know if my PC will be able to run it.
I am curious about DARK, but it may be really cheesy. It is a stealth RPG and you play a vampire.
SilveryMoon
(121 posts)I forgot about the God of War games. That is definitely on my list.
Yukari Yakumo
(3,013 posts)Bioshock Infinite
Touhou 13.5 - Hopeless Masquerade
Europa Universalis IV
Total War: Rome II
Egalitarian Thug
(12,448 posts)Of course it will take 6 - 8 months to release the buggy PC version, but still...
Bioshock looks like it might not suck.
SilveryMoon
(121 posts)It's not a anti-violent video game stance. I just don't see the fun in playing as a "gangsta".
Whisp
(24,096 posts)I am still steeped into the traditional rpg - the dark ones, or the darkest available these days. Those bug eyed green haired huge headed kid things too I stay away from no matter how good the game/interface is I can't stand those things.
Egalitarian Thug
(12,448 posts)be bad. Some days it's just a good release to go on a rampage against the police, build your wanted level up to 6 stars and then try to avoid arrest.
Mostly though, I enjoy the satire.

(5,963 posts)They're really well done games, and Vice City was great at reviving a lot of old memories of the 80's.
Posteritatis
(18,807 posts)I'll usually leave the storylines for months in favor of seeing how many ridiculous things I can ramp off of instead.
Aerows
(39,961 posts)Dragon Age 3: Inquisition.
I'm looking forward to the GUTS Mod engine for Torchlight 2 to be released. There are already some mods for the game, but once the official mod engine gets released, I'm sure that the number of mods will explode.
SilveryMoon
(121 posts)I know it's focusing on the crumbling influence of the Chantry and the mage/templar war, but I'm hoping some secrets will come out about the darkspawn.
Aerows
(39,961 posts)I love the story line of the series as much as I love the game play!
And the characters. I can't forget about their part in making it such an epic gameplay experience. I'm half in love with Isabela, despite her tawdry, but loyal self. I played a female Hawke and was absolutely endeared with her character.
SilveryMoon
(121 posts)Have you seen her in the comics? They really flesh out her story.
Aerows
(39,961 posts)Where can I find those?
She DOES do insane DPS. I think out of all of the companions you can take along hers is the highest. Varrick did a lot with his bow, but Isbela with her daggers was just nuts.
SilveryMoon
(121 posts)In this adventure Isabella and Varric join Allister who is searching for his father King Marric.
I've never read these, but I have read the summaries.
Aerows
(39,961 posts)I'll check them out, and it is nice that they are on Amazon. I can pick them up easily
Chisox08
(1,898 posts)Dead Space 3
Tomb Raider
Bioshock Infinite
Crysis 3
Gears of War Judgement
GTA V
Metal Gear Solid Rising
Injustice Gods Amoung US
The new Xbox and PS4
Bayonetta 2
Animal Crossing New Leaf
Pokemon X/Y
Hopefully they will bring out a Zelda game for the WiiU
SilveryMoon
(121 posts)I haven't played it since its not available for non Xbox Live Gold members.

(21 posts)I've always enjoyed the Grand Theft Auto games, ever since I played the 1st one. I'm also waiting for Crysis 3, a game that will certainly bring my PC to its knees, just like the first 2.

(36,174 posts)I must have been a town planner in another life because I have the attention span of a gnat when it comes to other games, but with this one, I'm there spending hours trying to make my city very attractive for high tech industry and skyscrapers and lots and lots of roads...
Anyway, I played the Beta release today. Compared to Sim City 4 it's pretty amazing and the menus are more intuitive. Is there anyone else at DU who plays Sim City (I get bored easily by the Sims, btw), or am I just so boring I stand on my own on this one?
OKNancy
(41,832 posts)thought I'd check you out here and see if anyone was talking SimCity 5. I spend hours on 4. I think I've had every version. I sure miss the one that had the magic castle that turned everything around it beautiful..
Hey, if you want nothing but high tech, raise taxes to 20% on dirty industry.
I do know that I don't ever want to play multi-player. I do it for fun and that's all. If I can't cheat, then it's not fun for me.
Violet_Crumble
(36,174 posts)I've got some concerns about having to be online* to play and the multiplayer thing, but apart from that it was really good, and the graphics are awesome. There was no terraforming in it today, so I hope it's there when they release it in March because building a city on flat ground is really boring.
* Playing online means no cheats! That would ruin it for me...

(28,749 posts)I have watching videos of people playing the beta on YouTube so obviously I am quite excited. I have a Mac though so there is no release date yet for me.
Remember SimTower? That is the game I really miss from my youth.
Violet_Crumble
(36,174 posts)It's to stress test the servers, which from last time round didn't stand up to the traffic.
If yr interested in having a sneak peek of the game, sign up for the beta session, though do it quick coz registrations are closing on the 11th, and it's the 11th here now so it must be there in the next few hours.

I never discovered SimCity till about a year ago, so I didn't experience SimTower. It's a pity coz I probably would have loved it.

(4,261 posts)by Stardock is supposed to be a real time 4x game, I think it's supposed to mean it's a 4x game that doesn't pause and other players/computer doesn't wait for you. Don't ask me. I've never played it, only read what's on the site.
It may not be your cup of tea, but the only 4x games I know of are in the distant past, alas.

(4,261 posts)Hah, but i can dream.

(4,138 posts)It's indie, complicated and weird, but if they can deliver half of the stuff they're talking about on their blog, it'll be right up my alley.
SilveryMoon
(121 posts)Turborama
(22,109 posts)And it'll probably be an anticipated game for 2014, too. More's the pity.
