A wide receiver sits down at the bar next to them and says, "Pass me the beer nuts", but nobody is able to.

(2,331 posts)...and they were trying to get a first down late in the 4th quarter of a playoff game so they could run out the clock, he'd probably just manage to tip the beer nuts into the hands of a safety, who would return the interception 57 yards for the winning TD, and "The Pick Six" would become part of the lore

(21,212 posts)but Aaron Rodgers and his miracle cures should be back to practice by early December, according to Aaron Rodgers.

(21,212 posts)I saw a headline this morning that the Jets are going to try to land Davante Adams during the off season to reunite him with Rodgers. They should concentrate on 2024.

Adams is great but it begs the question... if Rodgers is so good, why does he need to be surrounded with former Packers teammates?

(21,212 posts)but I honestly think it's a sense of loyalty. He wants to take those guys with him to another Super Bowl. But Lazard and Cobb definitely have not made things better, especially without Rodgers to make them look good.

(18,507 posts)Cobb is the only player still active who went to the 2011 Superbowl.
Rodgers had 12 years after that to take the team back to a Superbowl and most of the time they didn't even make the playoffs. He skipped pre-season practices if they weren't mandatory. He was too busy giving interviews with his opinions on non-football subjects.
He's always been very interested in his own stats and in being the MVP, but he's really not a team player. That seems obvious now, but apparently the Jets didn't see it. That's ok, Green Bay is sick of him.
