I did a half century today. Started out in Burgettstown PA and headed east on the Panhandle Trail

then in McDonald PA took the Montour Trail east to Peters Township PA and turned at mile marker 34. Got 50.54 miles with 5 hours moving time. This was one of the few decent days we have had this year so everyone and their dogs were out on the trail. It was a perfect day for riding, partly cloudy and in the 70s. Everyone was pretty much observing their social distancing and many had masks.
On the way had a delicious giro in Peters Township and some ice cream at another stop.

village Midway a few miles before McDonald can't see a course from the trail though. There is a a nice looking golf course right next to the trail at Peters Township where I turned around don't know what it's called.

I was considering going there today - ended up at the Westmoreland Heritage Trail instead. Did NOT do as many miles as you (first time out this season) but it sure was a great day to be out there!

trail clear to Cumberland not all at once though in sections. The Pittsburgh area has a great trail system. Have friends that have gone from Pittsburgh to DC.

My "indoor" trainer set up is actually on my porch. I was going to ride enough miles to do 50 but at 45 there was a loud grumble of thunder. I stopped and got my equipment covered just before a hard shower. It was a fun ride. We use Discord app so that we can talk to one another. It almost makes up for my weekly real group rides.
