Albert Pujols hits 700!

Albert Pujols joined the exclusive 700-home run club when he drilled two home runs on Friday night at Dodger Stadium.

Pujols, 42, and in what he has said is the final season of his 22-year career, joined Barry Bonds (762 home runs), Hank Aaron (755) and Babe Ruth (714) as the only sluggers in AL/NL history to hit at least 700 long balls in his career.

I was worried a month ago that he wouldn't hit the mark this season and he'd have to settle for fewer than 700, or he'd be forced to come back next year if he wanted to reach that magical mark.
