Oh goodie! The Yankees got stronger!

Bomber blockbuster: Montas, Trivino to NY for 4 prospects

The Yankees have traded for Frankie Montas and Lou Trivino from the A's for New York's top-rated pitching prospect, Ken Waldichuk, and three other prospects.

Plus Andrew Benintendi (formerly Royals) from a few days ago

Manfred's got to be the happiest of anyone.

will ask the first 50 fans attending (if they do get 50) to try out for various positions.

And make sure to bring a bat and a glove.

Thank you.
Billy Bean

P.S. Bring dinner, too.

It's the A's owner, John Fisher.

Why Beane stays in Oakland is one of the great mysteries in baseball.

Bob Melvin, 2011–2021 manager, finally had the sense to bail.

Waiting for Fisher to strike it rich in some real estate/business park/baseball boondogle.

Despite being the richest owner in baseball (so I heard) he can't get municipalities to throw money at him.

Oakland isn't exactly the richest city to rob.
Still threatening to move to Las Vregas. ALWAYS threatening.

I get Giants games up in the foothills courtesy of 50,000 watts of KNBR.
There's a valley station that relays Athletics games, but it fades out.

No apps for me.

Feel sorry for the announcers.

New players will only be around until arbitration kicks in, or they are free agents, then BYE BYE.

It has been very widely suggested that jerseys have velcro names and numbers.

Over and out.

Thanks for the update.

Very sad state of affairs for the Athletics.

He is the executive vice president of baseball operations and minority owner of the Oakland Athletics of Major League Baseball (MLB); he is also minority owner of Barnsley FC of the EFL Championship in England and AZ Alkmaar of the Eredivisie in the Netherlands.

Ownership means basically everything.

Benintendi is off to a cold start in Pinstripes, and if you saw that game against St. Louis tonight, they couldn’t string anything together. I’m not sure whose offense was worse, theirs or the White Sox’s.
