Braves cover All-Star logo on jerseys, shift hats

The Atlanta Braves looked a little patchwork in their second game of the season. The All-Star Game patch that appeared on the right sleeve of the Braves' jerseys during opening day was sewn over Saturday against Philadelphia at Citizens Bank Park. The same logo was gone from their hats, too.

The uniform change came a day after Major League Baseball announced that this summer's All-Star Game was being moved out of Atlanta over the sport's objections to sweeping changes to Georgia voting laws.

It was easy to spot the change on the jersey, with the outline of the All-Star patch hastily covered over. The Braves still have a patch on their left sleeves marking the 150th anniversary of the franchise.

And where could a team go. By mid-April there will probably be ten states with laws like Georgia.

I'm referring to the Organization, not necessarily the players, many of whom probably couldn't care less about the game being moved.

The Organization & Stadium are just bummed that all the money they were counting on earning from the game being held in Atlanta, is now gone.

It's too bad that there are businesses around the Stadium that were hoping to have a bump in revenue as the result of attendance at the game.

We'll see if the people of Georgia learned their lesson of having put a POS like Kemp in as Governor. I sincerely pray that Stacey kicks his ass to the curb in November 2022.
