(13,331 posts)I was at a loss. I couldn't think of a three decade long pitcher. Nolan Ryan, but he won only with the Mets in 69, I think.
Very good.
BTW I have a friend who, in high school, hit a home run off of Palmer.
Also, there is another great trivia question associated with Palmer.
Over his long career he never gave what?
A Grand Slam.

(35,188 posts)I remember thinking, wow, I never would have thought of Jim Palmer. Like you, my first thought was of the Ryan express, Clemens, or Neikro.
The never giving up a slam was icing on the cake, no?
