back in the 80s. And it had nothing to do with him contesting Mike Schmidt just about every year for the home run crown and me being a Phillies fan But I read his blog recently and he seems like a good guy.

The one that hit the roof of the porch on the house on Kenmore. The rest of us only saw it on replay, but those two were at the game for a school field trip, or something.
Man, did he torch that ball. I always GREATLY doubted the estimated distance, because we were in Wrigleyville one time and we paced off from the back of the stadium on Waveland to that house. It was over 150 feet. He had to have hit that ball 540, probably more.
