Say Hey! Happy 93rd. Birthday, Willie Mays

There will be cake, but not the 569 pound cake he received for his 37th birthday and 569 home runs in 1968.

3. Still get chills when I see that. Loved baseball back then. Of course, I was probably 9 or so.

4. I got to see Willie play in a double- header. He and Willie McCovey hit seven home runs I think, crushed the Pirates.

Thom 'Kid' Ross parked these on a hillside outside of Petaluma, California, on May 6, 1984, to commemorate Willie’s 53rd birthday



Later, he moved them to Wyoming



Ultimately, they got parked in New York, 460 feet from the Polo Grounds' home plate (There's a plaque marking home plate location)
