I got an e-mail from Ticketmaster a couple of months ago advertising World Cup tickets, $1500 apiece for the cheap seats.

(29,990 posts)FIFA is corrupt so I won't be watching much less attending but soccer is the most popular sport in the world outside of the US so I understand the demand for the tickets.

(4,776 posts)... to watch men chase a ball around a field is the definition of insanity. And that's after they pay for travel and lodging! Even $1,500 is more than any game is worth, in my not-so-humble opinion.
Constantly casting worried glances over your shoulder for psychotic ICE agents looking to fill their quotas, even if it's with kids and grannies, will wind up the paranoia, BIGLY!
Well, at least it isn't gladiatorial combat to the death. SHHH! Don't give Trump any ideas! Blood puddles on the South Lawn would be really gross!
