(12,663 posts)A friend ran into him in the parking lot at a Dead & Co show last year, getting into his Tesla with his wife.

(187,345 posts)He was apparently staying at the same hotel. Just waved and smiled and he did the same back. Didnt want to bother him as he was in a bit of struggle getting into his car.
From a story I saw once, The Dead just kept seeing this really tall guy near the stage in the crowd. At first they thought it was a guy on someones shoulders but it kept happening at shows. Someone finally realized Hey thats Bill Walton. Had him
on stage and after the show. They became lifelong friends.
